Introduction
Takt is a time tracking app for iPhone developed by Philip Kartin. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. The short version: we collect almost nothing. Your time entries stay on your device and your iCloud account. We have no server and no analytics.
Data the app collects
Takt stores your time entries, activities, and tags locally on your device using SwiftData. If you enable iCloud sync, this data is also stored in your personal iCloud account managed by Apple. We have no access to your iCloud data. The app does not collect analytics, crash reports, usage data, or any personal information. There is no account system and no login.
Website
This website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for operational purposes. We do not use cookies for tracking. A language preference may be stored in your browser. We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising services on this website.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we receive your email address, selected category, and message. This information is transmitted via Resend, our email delivery service. We use this data only to respond to your inquiry. We do not share it with third parties or use it for marketing.
Third-party services
Takt interacts with the following third-party services: Apple App Store for app distribution and in-app purchases, Apple iCloud for optional data sync between your devices, and Resend for contact form email delivery. Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your personal data. Since Takt stores data on your device and your iCloud account, you have full control. You can delete individual entries in the app, or remove all data by deleting the app. For iCloud data, use your Apple ID settings. For contact form inquiries, email us to request deletion.
